🌞 The Longest Light

A Summer Solstice Ritual of Release and Return

Today, the sun stands still.
And in that pause, we remember who we are.

Wild. Glowing. Ready.

The Summer Solstice marks the height of light, a time to honour what’s grown, what’s burned, and what is asking to be released.

For a moment, the Earth leans fully into the sun.
And we are invited to do the same.

To be seen.
To burn bright.
To shed what we no longer need.
To name what we now long for.

🔥 My Ritual

This year, I’ll sit with two pieces of paper — one in each hand.

🖋 On one, I’ll write what I’m ready to release - fears, stories, weight I no longer need to carry.
🖋 On the other, what I long to welcome in - light, freedom, connection, joy.

Then I’ll burn them both.
Smoke rising.
One hand letting go.
The other calling myself home.

🌿 Simple Ways You Might Honour the Solstice

1. Light a fire or candle at sunrise or sunset
Whisper a thank you for what has grown in you so far this year.

2. Forage or gather
Pick herbs, flowers, or even weeds. Place them in water and honour the life all around you.

3. Write your own two lists
What are you done carrying? What are you ready to receive? Burn or bury them.

4. Dance, howl, stretch, cry
Let your body mark this moment in its own language.

5. Rest
Yes - even in this light. Rest is a ritual too.

The sun has not forgotten you.
And neither has your soul.

Here’s to the longest light.
And to the wild soul rising with it.
